MALINCHE AUDIOBAR

Mezcal. Music. Nikkei-Mexa.

Where Japan’s Precision Meets Mexico’s Fire.

Malinche is a mezcal-forward, Japan-inspired listening bar—small, dark, kinetic—and built for nights where the music and the agave hit at the same time.

A Listening Bar With Teeth.

Malinche isn’t trying to be another “cool mezcal bar.” It’s its own frequency. Inspired by Japanese listening bars, this is a tight, immersive cantina where the room is tuned—sound, light, texture, pour, and plate.

Come for the mezcal.

Stay for the record.

This is where you come to sit close, listen harder, and let the night do what it does best...turn strangers into a room.

JAPAN'S LISTENING BAR ENERGY. MEXICAN FORWARD SOUL.

The menu is intentionally short and built for impact: agave cocktails that lean savory and sharp, and Japanese-inflected Mexican dishes José calls “Nikkei-Mexa.” Think bold pairings, clean technique, and flavors that refuse to apologize.

"Malinche AudioBar is one of Denver’s most exciting new openings — a mix of Japanese technique and Latin flavor from the minds behind La Diabla and El Borrego Negro. The food menu is small but masterful, and every dish feels intentional and inventive."

"Mexican X Japanese listening bar with a unique aesthetic, quality sound, and magical vibe. Their pepita cocktail is the best cocktail I've had in a long time. I could drink it all night, but also wanted to try some other offerings. The food is spectacular too. Really loved the rabbit tamale with fig mole. A delight for all the senses. Really cool and visionary concept that elevates the Denver bar scene."

"The food and drinks are a fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors and styles, and they are delicious. We did the Maitake al Copal for an appetizer, and my mushroom hating boyfriend LOVED it. It was cooked and spiced to perfection. There was also a taco truck out front that you can also order at, so we had tacos for the main. They were typical street size, so I reconned 2-3 if you get other things, more if you are only doing tacos."

"I took a trip to Mexico City recently and visited several audio bars so I was super excited to check out Malinche Audiobar here in Denver and I have to say, it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The Japanese fusion cocktails, especially the Espazote y Wasabi, are unlike anything I’ve ever had. Their sound system is really special and brings back the warm and fuzzy feelings of a pre-Bluetooth era. They had a really cool vinyl DJ playing spanish rock that honestly elevated the whole experience to something I’ve really only found outside the US.
